Pleasant pre-Christmas barbecue at the Club

The camaraderie among parents of our young swimmers and waterpolo players resonated during a pre-Christmas barbecue organised by a group of volunteers whose children have kept up their training schedules throughout autumn thanks to the newly-laid heating system at the club’s pool.

Frank Muscat co-ordinated the event held on the pool deck on Sunday, 7th December.  Numerous parents and young waterpolo players, swimmers and synchro swimmers were present to re-evoke the summer feeling.

They were treated to a bonanza of hot-dogs and other crispy items mingled with wine, soft drinks and coffee. The gourmets and the youngsters could not but enjoy it.

Morning clouds, which had threatened to wash out the event, cleared by mid-day, making it possible for the organisers to see out the pleasant activity well into the afternoon.

Such gatherings surely help to keep the club spirit on a high as well as keep Neptunes’ flag fluttering merrily through the less busy aquatic sports period.
