Breezing win despite rough edges
This was a breezing outing for our team, never mind some rough edges which limited a more emphatic victory against lower-ranked Exiles.
The platform was laid in the opening sessions as Stevie Camilleri and Peter Biros, each scorer of a nap-hand, started their goal-rush to help the lads procure a 10-3 lead by midway. Then some shoddy play crept in, allowing our opponents to exploits gaps at the back through fast breaks.
That helped to fuel Exiles’ damage-limiting exercise as eight goals were shared by the team in each of the last two quarters.
Our task, though, had long been accomplished.
